“The Road Not Taken” Robert Frost 1920

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

最後兩句的意思是,我選擇了那條人煙稀少的道路,而人生所見因此截然不同。我相信人生是由一連串的抉擇所組成,當有兩條路在你面前分叉,讓你自己挑選該走哪一條的時候,抉擇就會影響後面所見的風景。選擇你自己內心真正想要的,然後隨時鼓勵自己堅持下去,走到最後的人才有資格看到前所未見的美景。
